Trauma Treatment & Healing
Trauma can be an experience or set of experiences that cause distress to the mind and body. Trauma can also be what didn’t happen to you; unmet needs, loss of comfort, safety, or consistency.
Such experiences can impact your view of the world, how you see yourself and others, and the ways you cope in life. You might notice that you feel too much or too little, frequent thoughts and memories associated with the trauma, difficulty connecting with others, being in a state of high alert, not feeling “good enough”, experiencing shame or guilt, and feeling angry or resentful.
Although it can be challenging to address difficult events and emotions, support throughout the process can make relief and healing possible.
